2022 Queer Holiday Shopping

Abbey here! The holidays are coming, and we are all are shopping! But, if you are like me, you have a habit of waiting till the last minute and defaulting to Amazon. I don’t want to do that this year! And if you are reading this, you don’t either!

So, I have created this list of 10 Queer Artists and Shops where you can get all your holiday gifts. Instead of giving more money to corporations, let’s support our queer community and buy from somewhere we can be proud of!

  1. Ash + Chess

Ash + Chess are an amazing queer and trans owned store that sells things from Prints to Tarot Cards to T-Shirts! I found them because they originated from my home, Richmond, VA, but have recently moved to Kingston, NY.

Check out their Store and Instagram to see more!

2. Jenna Guthrie

Reed and I love this artist so much, we have bought a print from her on two separate occasions! You can see our prints in the last two photos.

Jenna Guthrie has two very distinct styles that I am OBSESSED with!!! First, if you are looking for some fun boob prints to hang around your house, check out several of her drawings depicting vibrant, plant-like boobies. Or, if you are looking for something less risqué, check out her black and white landscape prints. We have one from my favorite spot at the James River!

Check out her Instagram and Shop.

3. WunderPop

Looking for some cool queer apparel to gift this season? You have to check out WunderPop! They are a queer, BIPOC owned store located in San Diego, CA. We actually had the owners, April and Kim, on the show last year to talk about their journey and store! In the first photo, you can see the sweatshirts that Autumn and I bought last year for the holidays. You can find that episode here.

4. Queer Babe Pottery

In search of some ADORABLE pottery, beautiful earrings, or sexy wall hangings? You have to check out Queer Baby Pottery! I bought one of their wall hangings a few months ago, which you can see in the first picture, and have been obsessed with their work ever since! From their super cute Miyazaki Mugs to their gorgeous earrings, I just want it all!

I have not yet gotten a print from this artist yet, but they are top of my list of original paintings I hope to acquire! Carlie Pearce makes STUNNING paintings, many based off the female body. I think books are one of the most underrated gifts out there! A well thought-out book can be so meaningful and heartwarming. So! If you are looking to gift some books this holiday season, try buying them from this Queer and Trans owned bookstore, A Room of One’s Own!

They are located in Teejop in Wisconsin, but you can also find there online store here.

Looking for some female empowering art for your liberal friends? Check out the artist, Liberal Jane!
